The research investigates the parametric modeling as a tool for integration, modeling and representation of the information in three-dimensional space; the latter are understood as data and constrains of the design. Starting from some hypothetical project data, we experimented if they could be processed to generate architectural forms. The first experiment described, which is inspired by research and experiments on form-finding developed by Frei Otto, has experimented the representation of information coming from the field of environmental and cognitive psychology. We developed an experimental generative model that identifies the ideal path and the greater or lesser areas of confidentiality, by processing some access and relevant points that we defined as constrains. It also simulates the generation of parametric shapes that optimize the objectives. The second experiment implements an articulated parametric model that includes a generative process. This is able to create, orient and aggregate elementary forms, by integrating and processing several weighted data types.
La ricerca indaga la modellazione parametrica come strumento di integrazione, modellazione e rappresentazione, nello spazio tridimensionale dell’informazione, quest’ultima intesa come dato o vincolo progettuale. Partendo da ipotetici dati di progetto, si è sperimentato come questi potessero essere elaborati per generare forme architettoniche. La prima sperimentazione descritta, ispirata dalle ricerche e dagli esperimenti di form-finding di Frei Otto, ha indagato la rappresentazione di informazioni provenienti dal campo della psicologia ambientale e cognitiva. Il modello generativo sperimentale realizzato individua la percorrenza ideale e le aree di maggiore o minore riservatezza di un’area, sulla base degli accessi e dei punti rilevanti, quindi simula la generazione di forme parametriche che ne ottimizzino gli obiettivi. La seconda sperimentazione ha come oggetto la realizzazione di un articolato modello parametrico e del relativo processo generativo, capace di creare, orientare e aggregare forme elementari, integrando ed elaborando - in modo ponderato - molteplici tipologie di dati.
